ACYS - High Bidder for Trotters Park!
 

 

Dear ACYS Faithful and Friends,
Please join us in celebrating a truly landmark moment in the history of ACYS. As many of you know, the contract for use of Trotters Park has expired and the City of Orlando has opened it up to a bidding process. Today was the deadline for submission of bids and through God's grace, ACYS became the high bidder for Trotters Park and exclusive use of the four field facility for the next 5 years! We especially want to thank you, our ACYS families, as this result would not have been possible if not for the faithful and loyal support of our 5,000 plus members across all our sports. Please know this event will have a direct positive impact on all of our family members, players, coaches and teams: from increased field space and practice time for teams to expanding our sports programs and offerings. The future looks bright!

We want to genuinely thank our partners at Trotters of the last 11 years, FC America soccer. We understand and appreciate that it was out of necessity that they decided to bid against ACYS for sole use of the park even though we were willing to continue our shared relationship. In reality, the Park was just too small to meet the increased needs of both clubs together. We appreciate their cooperation over the shared years and wish them the best for the future wherever it takes them. For our families who have members in both clubs we understand the logistical and emotional challenge this news may represent. Please know we are determined to work diligently and with great sensitivity to serve and provide all the youth sports needs of those who choose to participate in ACYS both from a recreational and competitive standpoint. Over the last several months we have taken intentional steps to grow our soccer program to serve the ever increasing demands of the competitive soccer community. The Spirit United program is expanding to meet those needs and we believe our best days are in front of us. The more families, players, coaches and teams who join us, the stronger the program becomes for the entire club. Come and be a part of the change and see what we have to offer.

Again, thank you for your support and for celebrating this great moment with us. We look forward to competitive tryouts in the next couple weeks and the exciting year ahead. God is good all the time !!
